This is the start
I want to build a habit of writing.
To prevent this blog from turning into a half-baked project, I feel the urge to set goals, starting from the very beginning.
The 'why' / purpose
To reserve a place to store all my free writing pieces.
To flex my muscles for organizing tangled thoughts into readable prose.
To keep a library of my 人生切片 (~ slice of life).
To combat the numbness of having to intake various work-related content on the Internet.
To embrace my multilingual brain, and celebrate my multicultural roots.
To leave an insignificant but unique mark "in the vastness of space and the immensity of time."1
The audience
Myself, in the moment.
My future self that's yet to become.
Every gentle soul in the universe.
Do
Write consistently — to capture, reflect, and document.
Share anything interesting — and be open and candid.
Don't
Indulge in perfectionism.
Try to sound smart.
Use big words that I can't grasp.
More tangibly / 具体的にいうと
Year 1 will be for me to discover and explore.
- Post at least once every month.
- Write in whatever language—or whatever combination of them—that comes to mind.
- 不设限。I will branch out on all kinds of topics that I found fascinating.
Most importantly
Write for joy and peace.
